Fighting, tactics & logistics
Medevar advances in short supported attacks, avoiding an early frontal rush at the bridge. Garabech shifts reserve guns to alternate positions and lays redundant communications. A winter counterattack restores a damaged lateral road. Medevar retains some observation ground but cannot maintain uninterrupted fire over the whole supply system.
Civilian consequences
Farmers are removed from fields converted into gun positions. Compensation claims begin during the battle, while displaced laborers help restore the crossing.
Outcome & wider significance
An indecisive territorial result with a Garabech logistical success: Sorn continues to carry reduced traffic. The operational reconstruction is proposed, with the recurring contest itself source-grounded.
