Talgareth intends to defeat Qevira and open a southern approach to the wider Viar war. Qevira tries to keep a defensible connection between its government and surviving field forces.
Ground & operational constraints
A narrow national territory offers limited room for retreat. Coastal movement provides an alternative to congested inland roads but exposes shipping to observation.

Fighting, tactics & logistics
Talgareth attacks frontier stations, then follows the main supply roads. Qeviran units conduct short counterattacks to cover mobilization rather than hold a continuous border line. Coastal craft remove wounded and records. The defenders eventually abandon a large supply center before it can become an encirclement trap.
Civilian consequences
Fishing vessels become evacuation transports, reducing food deliveries just as urban demand rises. Local councils organize ration distribution from dispersed stores.
Outcome & wider significance
Talgareth wins major territorial gains, while Qevira retains a reduced defense. The source-confirmed invasion date is canonical; the campaign phases are proposed and do not exclude Qevira because of its pale map color.
