Fighting, tactics & logistics
Axis infantry establishes small lodgments under smoke. Confederacy artillery avoids wasting fire on empty bridge spans and concentrates on approach traffic. Drazet pushes armor across one repaired crossing, but engineers cannot maintain the required throughput. Avenrath counterattacks the bridgehead shoulders and forces a partial withdrawal.
Civilian consequences
River communities lose ferries, wells and cultivated banks. Evacuation shelters move uphill while authorities attempt to keep food moving across surviving civilian crossings.
Outcome & wider significance
Avenrath prevents a decisive penetration, though Drazet retains contested ground. This proposed major battle expands the documented recurrent fighting over the confederacy's bridges.
