Fighting, tactics & logistics
Kharveth secures the first crossing through concentrated artillery, then spreads its columns to pursue retreating defenders. Noryndor uses that dispersion to strike supply parks rather than armored spearheads. A second Kharveth concentration pushes the line east, but autumn repair demands interrupt the advance. Both armies build depots for a longer struggle.
Civilian consequences
Refugees follow the same eastbound routes as reserve units. Civil administrations establish separate reception points to prevent camps from obstructing rail unloading.
Outcome & wider significance
Axis operational gains, but Noryndor's field army survives. The documented invasion becomes a prolonged western campaign instead of a single collapse.
